McNeil's Famous Parade CarBrussels 140th Homecoming Parade

Sat. July 28th, 2012, High Noon, Turnberry Street, Brussels

Whether you are a spectator or a participant, you can’t miss this parade!

Arrive early – browse the shops, café and restaurant on main street, and get your spot.  Bring a lawn chair if you like.

On behalf of the homecoming committee, we invite you to enter a float and/or decorated bike in the parade.  This year’s theme is “Come Home to Your Country Village” where the focus is on the western era. The theme colours are red, white, black and burlap.  The parade will start and end at the Brussels, Morris & Grey Community Centre.  Floats and participants should arrive at the BMG Community Centre by 11am.

Parade begins at high noon(12pm) from the Brussels, Morris & Grey Community Centre, Sports Drive, and then head down Sports Drive.  It will then turn left onto Turnberry St, and head up main street until Ellen St. where the parade will turn left again and go one block to Ainley Street.  The parade will turn right onto Ainley Street and then continue back up to the BMG Community Centre.  So the parade begins and ends at the arena.  The Brussels Firemen will be organizing – a big thanks to them!

The Homecoming committee is anticipating a large turnout for the parade and we hope that you will be able to participate in another successful parade. If you have any questions about the parade, please do not hesitate to contact Murray McArter at 519 887 6325 or Nicole Noble 519 887 8261.
